Organization settings

Organization-wide settings live under Organization settings → General (Obecné) — the gear icon in the left navigation. This is where an administrator sets what the organization is called, which language new members start in, and the logo. Everything here affects the whole organization, so only administrators can reach it.

Basic details

1. Organization name — the name shown across the administration.

2. Default language — the interface language new members start in. Each person can still change their own later in account preferences.

3. Organization logo — drag a file into the upload area or pick one from your computer. Up to 5 MB, PNG or JPEG.

Member and project limits

Edmund

Two values cap the size of the organization:

• Max. users (Max. uživatelů) — how many people can belong to the organization.
• Max. projects (Max. projektů) — how many projects it can hold.

These limits are part of your agreement with the Edmund team, not day-to-day settings. If you’re approaching a cap before a rollout, contact the Edmund team to raise it — the current limits are shown on the General form above, and the Users screen shows how many seats are in use.

Why organizations look different

Not every capability is switched on for every organization. Some features are optional and enabled per organization, so the navigation and forms you see can differ from another Edmund site. For example:

• Tags — grouping projects and journals with tag groups. When it’s on, a Tags (Štítky) area appears in settings; when it’s off, it’s hidden. See Tags.
• Suggestions — the predefined chat prompts users can pick from. See Suggestions.
• Data-source types — which database engines appear under Add data source (for example Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, InfluxDB or Snowflake) depends on what’s enabled for your organization. See Data sources.
